I'm using Revo uninstaller on my laptop and have a question...it's done the uninstall and has scanned for any leftover files. The window up now says: Note: Please carefully verify the bolded items! Only checked bolded items and their subitems will be deleted! The file that's bolded is at the furthest branch of this tree...My Computer>HKEY_Classes_ROOT>CLSID and then this.... "3B6C15BE-F9FD-7E15-F865-ABA8E2A09915>. That's the only bolded item. I have no idea if this is what I'm supposed to delete. Does Revo know best and should I just choose "delete"? I'll leave it on the screen until I hear something. :) Pam

AZ, I understand what you are saying, but Emma makes a lot of sense. If users are not prepared for progress we would all still be using Commodores or in the least Win3.1. We have a whole bunch of Dell XP SP2 systems in our building. Six in our office alone. Ours are going to be replaced by a governmental entity due to security, non-MS software demand, and future anticipated expansion. You can bet many of the other offices will have to replace their systems via their budget as their offices have systems integrated for use with our data. And, we did survive without a burp when we switched from Win98 and Win2000 to WinXP. Bobbie, Hope you are sitting down. You know how I was dragged kicking and screaming into the post Win98 era as I loved my Win98 system. And, yes you know I love my Vista system even more and have defended it for all the bad publicity it received. My plans right now is to buy a entry to mid-level laptop with W8 just so I can play. See why I said I hope you were sitting down. Even though I think there is way too much going on now with the Internet, and can only guess as to what the future will bring we users have a choice. Be part of it or allow it to pass us by. Do I think everyone with a W7 should race out and purchase a W8? Of course not. However, two generations of O/S behind could become the future limit. DA

Are you reloading this after wiping the drive or is this something new you have bought? Check the label on the DVD to see if it is an upgrade and not a full or OEM version. Originally Microsoft allowed Windows 7 upgrades to be installed over themselves to qualify on the assumption that the person owned a previous full or OEM version. That police seems to have changed now as I tried it last week and came unstuck. Which means I now have to install XP, activate, then install as a clean install my Windows 7 operating system.

I finally figured out how to send a snip it the long way around: 1. open hotmail (do NOT try to send from snip it) 2. snip picture 3. copy the snip it 4. paste into a new message from the already opened hotmail account 5. add send to address and subject line 6. click SEND 7. long way around but it does work (will NOT work straight from the snip it) I do appreciate the help offered here. plantbug
