Can't see Sent or Deleted mail in Outlook 2010

I know someone asked this question back in 2010 but the answers don't seem to apply to me. I recently got a new desktop and loaded Office 2010 to it. Outlook was working fine until I did a data transfer from my older PC with Office 2003 on it. I suddenly couldn't get my email to load. I went online and found a solution. I had to create a new profile and then the emails loaded fine.

But now my Sent and Deleted folders are empty, plus my contacts are gone too. If I put a word in the Search box any Sent or Deleted emails with that subject do come up. So where are they going?

What I notice down the side of Outlook now are these folder icons:

Inbox (which is empty)

Sent (also empty)

Deleted (empty)

Inbox (this one has all my up to date emails in it)

So I'm guessing that the top inbox is my old profile with no mail going to it anymore. And perhaps the Sent and Deleted folders are also linked to the old profile?

Any advice on how to straighten this out?

Thanks!
