Rita, Yes, I have used the beetle bag traps before but they are only effective if my neighbors also use them. What happened in years past is that I am the only one who uses them, so lo and behold, all the beetles from miles around come calling. I swear they just lured MORE beetles so I stopped using them. I actually have less now that I don't have the beetle traps. I try to pick them several times a day and drop them in a bucket of soapy water but of course, the beetles are winning the fight. I just love Maryott's and you can't beat the sale he's having right now. Val, oh gosh...you must have missed my last post. I posted some gruesome photos of the dreaded red lily beetle and the damage it is doing to my lilies. YES, they are really bad here. It is really discouraging, dealing with both those beetles and the japanese beetles which destroy my roses. As if our long, cold winters weren't enough! Here's another pic of Screen Pattern, which only gave me a couple of blooms since FAT CAT NEMO broke off an entire scape rubbing against it...it will probably take time for it to be perfect but I like it so far. We have the same day trips over here where Sarnia, Ontario, area people come over and shop in Port Huron/Fort Gratiot, Michigan, stores. You should see them changing clothes and unpackage products in the parking lot so they can avoid duty. Unfortunately way too many of them are a bunch of slobs as they leave all the trash laying around. Many locals regularly complain about it. I know when I visit Canada the PST, GST, Michigan sales tax, and potential U.S. duty can add up so it does come into my purchase decision. I look at any purchase deception this way, dishonesty is dishonestly. If someone returning to the U.S. or Canada wants to risk seizure of their vehicle with potential forfeiture, judicial costs, and fines up to double the value of the item in question (not including the original expense)for a paltry some then so be it. I can look in the mirror, sleep at night, and not embarrass myself. DA

Thought I'd update. Got Windows installed without a hitch, Dell talked me through it. I debated whether to put Win 7 in since I was starting from scratch but worried some of my software might not work Everything went well except I couldn't find drivers for some things such as my wireless adapter so couldn't get on line. Called Linksys and they spent over an hour trying to get the driver in and finally did. That was the best part, finally getting on line and getting hit with a zillion MS updates. I have misplaced or lost some software. We moved here in March and I could not locate my Office disk, wireless mouse/keyboard software and a few other things, might have gotten lost in the move. I'm most concerned about Office 07. I paid for it. Dell says they can't help and I could try contacting MS and see if they would do anything. I haven't moved any of my files back yet. Otherwise, I feel like the computer runs better than when it was new. Things seem different, have to fool with fonts and views, but I'm amazed how effortlessly the machine runs. This computer always seemed to have a few 'glitches' but I was used to it. Now it seems so fast and smooth (of course there isn't much running on it yet.) I don't know how to thank everyone for all the support and help I received. You are the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! It's been a long time since I've printed envelopes using the program itself. Usually I use a template and go that route. I did find the following link and noticed it said "Skipping steps 6 through 12 will cause you no end of problems." Hope it's of some help to you. Here's another link but it's for an older version. Maybe it'll be similar? This search has a youtube demo too, but I didn't watch it. The problem is compounded with different printers, different envelopes and the like . The printer needs to know where and how to expect the envelope and whether it'll be face up or face down, etc. I used to use some scrap paper to test it to make sure it didn't print on the back of the envelope, upside down or something.
