Issues with both computers i just cant figure out.

On my existing computer i started getting all kinds of messages about too much memory being used and to close and reopen program. then i started getting the blue screen of death and my computer would shut down. then i started getting kicked off the internet constantly. it would always come right back but then do it over and over. because i am a medical transcriptionist and rely on a good functioning computer i ordered a new one. i got a dell 8 gb memory, 1 tb hard drive with the newer i5 processor. i have barely even used this new computer because it is unbearably slow. so slow that it takes at least 25 to 30 seconds to open a web page and when it does, it too constantly kicks me off.

my router is upstairs in my bedroom not that far from where i work upstairs, but usually i use my computers (laptops) in the basement and have about 3 lines on the signal strength. I am wondering if the being kicked off the internet on both computers may be a sign i need a new router?

how about my new computer? why is it so slow? could it be becuase of bloatware? i looked though all the stuff on the computer and was confused as to what programs etc could safely be removed. also, could it be the mcaffee on there hogging resources? should i just remove it and use AVG? i dont know where to start. it is seriously bad.

Any help would be great.

read its name carefully to see what it does.

For new computers it selects some of the well known not needed junk you might not want.

Plus it lists all programs seperately and offers to remove there too .. but your choice then.

Sounds like wifi interfierence or just a bad internet connection. Could be the router. Maybe you have a neighbor with new wifi messing you up... inSSIDer is a handy thing for that.. http://www.metageek.net/support/downloads/

I cut the fronts off the bags and parts of the bottom (though mostly I couldn't get to the bottom without upsetting everything). The soil was evenly moist all the way through, so I think that answers the drainage question. But there were two places which looked a bit root-bound. Which means they are probably root-bound in the places I can't see as well. It's not super bad, but that might be part of the problem. Kind of a bummer. I didn't have root issues when I grew them in a container this size before (which is why I thought it would work), but I forgot to take into account that they were not planted so closely (I think they were more like 4 inches apart in that container). I hope opening up the bags helps. =P

cpartist why would you want to run all the way to the garage to get a step stool Thank you, Claire. The door to the garage is right next to my kitchen so no running. And I live in FL so it's not like it's a problem with cold air. Heat yes. Cold no. There is a space right next to the steps that lead down for a hook on the wall for the step stool. It's really not an issue as I had thought it might be. cpartist does this tall cabinet actually exist in the kitchen where you are able to add a bar above cabinets and have the ladder tucked away when it’s not in use. Yes it does but as noted in the drawing that is a wall up against it. Plus there is no room. Also my kitchen is mostly finished. The cabinet peeking out on the left below is the cabinet you circled. The wall next to it juts out 24" to frame in the nook with the buffet. To the right of the buffet is the door to the garage.

The reason I want to see that area behind the columns is that I'm envisioning repurposing the rest of the (painted) entertainment center into a bar. I would paint the rest of the entertainment center the same color as the ledge I suggested placing under the TV to tie them together. I would then place them on the back wall with the buffet piece between the display cabinets. To make the bottom cabinet look more like a bar, I would get a thick piece of glass cut to place on top. I would then get a nice metal serving tray to put on top and place barware on it. I would put a large mirror or piece of artwork above the buffet. You could use the rest of the cabinets to store or display whatever you want and the setup would look intentional. If you like to entertain it will come in handy to have that place to serve as a bar or to set appetizers.

Woodrose, iCloud was already installed when I bought my iPad. Never did I bother to find out what it is until yesterday. I still don't know why it was almost full, but I do know you'd need a password to do whatever. thin access it so I could sync and do whatever else it offers, I'd need a password. I share an iPhone with DH but the only time I use it is to call our telephone company & tell them our landline is out. It happened three times this summer because they were laying laying fiber optic cable here in the country and they kept cutting phone lines & water lines. I hate using an iphone. If I drove everyday I'd keep one on me but I have no desire to do anything on it. I play on the iPad, and surf the net and type on the computer, which I'm on now. BTW, the cable guy said fiber optics will be ready in December. They have 5 hours and 20 minutes left. 😎 I also have no idea how to stream either once we get it. :)

Try connecting via lan cable and see if the slow web loading goes away.

A poor internet connection wouldn't cause as BSOD. They're typically driver or hardware related. Did you happen to write down the exact error name and any codes?
