I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? Any special instructions for doing 2 firefoxes? Thank you. Lynn. PS - still wonder if anyone else if having the issue where responses don't get emailed to them. not sure what you mean?? You install it to your browser and then choose to sync it then it puts all your bookmarks from the pc onto your xmarks page, that page can then be accesses from any pc anywhere by going to your xmarks page and loggin in, you do NOT have to install it on that pc to view them you view them there from the online website page. And of course you can also access your bookmarks normally on your own pc in the bookmarks list. Yes you can access your myxmarks page from any pc that has a connection to the internet you are then viewing a webpage not your pc. You just have to let the xmarks on your pc sync automatically so that it can update your page there and keep all the new bookmarks you add from the pc updated on the page so that everything has the same updated list.

You're welcome. Yeah, I think I've had to search for settings they've stashed away in about:config a couple times myself. Tabs-on-top and/or a new download dialog method, or lack of, something like that, I don't remember right now. I try to stay up to date for security... but tweak to suit "me". :)
