Yes, PK, I made sure when I got new computer that tech installed the paid version of Adobe, and am glad I did. I got a surprise visit from him one day shortly after I wrote the forum, and he straightened things out for me. I was unable to actually see what he did, cuz the phone rang, and while I was answering, he finished up, waved and left. Not that I am crying about it, just wish I had known what I might have done, and what to do to repair it. Just hoping now, that I don't update ANYTHING and goof up the machine again. no fert ... ever..imo ... besides.. its supposed to be slowing down toward dormancy.. and the last thing you want to do is juice it with fert for lush fall growth that wont harden off properly before first frost or freeze .... a good deep drink is fine in fall .. you guys just went a bit beyond that.. lol ... dont worry about it ... motors such as well heads.. are made to run ... running does not bother them .. most wear and tear is done with the on/off cycle .... ken

What exactly do you mean by "overwatered"? If your plants are in pots with proper drainage holes and planted with a reasonably fast draining potting soil mix, a one time watering is not likely to cause any serious issues. But if you repeat this too frequently or your potting soil is excessively water retentive and takes too long to drain well, you could be on the road to root rots. Same if you let any containers sit in saucers of water or in a cache pot that has no drain holes. byw, watering your containers until the water runs freely from the bottom, allowing them to drain thoroughly and then not watering again until the soil tests dry IS the recommended way to water most containerized plants, inside or out. It is really the quality and ability of the potting soil to drain quickly and thoroughly that determines how serious a problem overwatering may be.

I did this with my freezer a couple of years ago. It took a few days for it to "re-regulate" itself. Every now and then it would beep as if the door was open but it wasn't. After a few days, it seemed to settle down and all was well in the world.
