No sound from website

On the TV station website at the link below, when I try to view one of their "Deal or Dud" features, the commercial message, if any, plays perfectly with good sound. But then the feature has only tiny bits of sound. Two family members in distant places say that it all works well for them. I do not have this problem at any other websites. My browser is Mozilla Firefox, constantly updated.

When I try to watch on Internet Explorer 64-bit, the message: "This content requires the Adobe Flash Player Version 9 or higher". Then it links to a place to supposedly download a compatible version of the Flash Player. Message: "Flash Player 10.3 is not currently available for your 64-bit web browser".

Your suggestions welcome.

You can get the IE64 bit flash player at the following link.

You might want to read down the page and note that you should run the flash unistaller before installing .. which may mean you will need to go back and reistall flash for your mozilla too. Because it probably will remove both ie & mozilla versions.

ps... when having problems with flash player adobe recommend a restart of your computer after uninstalling flash ... before the new re-install of flash.

Owbitz, I don't have a System category on my control panel. There's one for sound, but nothing for device mgr. RavenCajun, Secunia showed that I might have a problem loading Java Applet, but, found no other problems. Question about checking my plug in the back? I haven't a clue where it is located or where it should be. cat, it's good to "see" you, girl! On the digital life site, I ran regedit on the Run command. Under Drivers 32, I found wavemapper to be "regular size" whatever that means! Have no idea how to acquire this driver. I couldn't find it anywhere in my Windows file. Tks to everyone for your advice. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I see that the HTML code came out exactly how it shows up on my web page in Netscape. Let me put some dots in front and maybe it will now show the actual code (and I put spaces after the to hopefully make it display the code).: ... I also notice that the sound plays just find with IE, but not Netscape 7. Is there any modifications of the code that will let it show and play correctly in Netscape??? Thanks... Gary

We are also south-central Wisconsin :-). I did end up talking to family friends who work for the power company and they felt strongly this was caused by the electrical service wire being too tight between the transformer and the house. Within the last few weeks this person (quite experienced) had the same sort of complaint and it solved the issue. Wind across the 'thickened' power line (or the cold causing the line to shrink) causes a vibration that sounds loud inside the house near the line but nowhere else. I called the power company and they loosened the line yesterday. We have not heard the issue since and the freezing fog is back tonight so we'll see what happens!

Ok so I live in Indiana. A few years ago I heard something outside my bedroom window. It sounded like a giant guinea pig. I grabbed my flashlight. Ran outside. Looked all around and nothing. But I had heard it walking past in the leaves. I looked all over. I too thought perhaps one had escaped, except for the fact it was so large. Well sounded like it was large. Too big a sound for a small guinea pig. I too searched possible animals. Nothing. I am thinking we have heard the same thing. Karen
