| I really, really need help. I am using a new MS Publisher 2010 software and it's so different from 2007 Publisher.
I've done a 10 page newsletter and I'm trying to open it but I'm getting a message saying that the one I'm trying to open is locked and I have to unlock it. I have absolutely no idea how it got locked and, for sure, do not know how to unlock it. Please, someone help me. I don't want to do these 10 pages over. |

| Is it a Publisher file (.pub) or a .pdf file? I'm away from my computer with Publisher 2010 on it but have never seen the option to lock (or unlock) a file. |

| Are you using a trial version of Microsoft Office? |
|
| Often the lock is caused by an improper shutdown. Open it up, do a "Save As" and save it under a different name. You should then be able to open the newly saved file for editing. |
