It's possible in coding a webpage to block image copying - this site seems to do that.

Instead, do a screen capture (the Print Screen button). Paste it into a new file using your favorite image editor (like Paint on the Win Accessories menu), where you can crop or remove any extraneous portions of the capture. Then, save the finished product as a file with a name and to the folder of your choosing.

Before doing the screen capture, enlarge the page view (CTRL + or CTRL and forward mouse roll) and then center it on your screen, so that your capture has a good-sized impression of the image you want. Remember to set it back (CTRL - or CTRL back mouse roll) when you're done.

Snidely gave a good answer and it will always work.

However, just a couple more methods:

(1) Temporarily disable JavaScript.

If you're using Firefox it's under: "... Oops, they(Mozilla) removed it ..."
Not a biggie to me though because I use YesScript. If you've heard of NoScript, YesScript is kinda the reverse. By default, it enables JavaScript but allows you to easily disable it on a per-site basis.

(2) Temporarily set "Page Style" to "No Style".

The page layout won't be pretty but you'll get your right-click back.

In Firefox it's under "View>Page Style>No Style"
In IE8 it's under "View>Style>No Style"

(3) Another Firefox method is to right-click the page(not the pic) and select "View Page Info". Then click the "Media" tab and have a look around in there.

Well, that was three more but... oh well. :)

I am running windows 7 and use the snipping tool when this happens.

You might want to give the FF add-on Fireshot a try. Not only will it do a complete screenshot it also includes, editing tools. In this case, you would just capture the screen, trim it to the target picture, and save it as a .jpeg.

Snipping tool in win 7 and 8 , forget if vista had it. Drag to size an area of screen and saves it as Capture.jpg or you can rename it.

Sorry for getting off topic since this doesn't exactly pertain to Hozz but still, it may interest someone. Or not.

Or it may clog up the thread for those members who are on a slow or unreliable connection, or those who are still on a DUN.

Though there are no rules to control attachments, for as long as I can remember the forum self-polices unnecessary pictures, avatars, and such as a common courtesy to those members.

Thanks everyone, great ideas. I will give them all a go. Never thought about Paint. That will work. I am still running XP so I don't have the snipping tool, but I do have paint and could save it that way. Da, I will try that add-on. Snidley, thanks for the clear instructions.

Thought it was my lack of computer skills. Have been trying to copy pics from that site for years with no luck,

Nice picture, I made an icon out of the red sedum.

I saved that picture with the save image option, then opened it with irfanview and cropped everything out of it but what I wanted, resized it and made it 3 d. I tried to post it but it shows up very large and of course blurry.
