| Was reading earlier post and thought I'd add my 2 cents.
I hook my laptop to my Vizio TV with the HDMI cable but also needed the two (red one & white one) wires for sound. Also you might have to choose HDMI 1 or 2 from your imput button on tv remote control. |

| Wonder if you could have a faulty cable? HDMI is supposed to carry both video and sound. Mine does. I unplug the HDMI cable from my DVR and plug it into my HP laptop and get both video and sound. |

| No, I think it's just how the tv is setup. The speaker outlets are right beside the HDMI socket and it shows in my Vizio book to use the red/white wires for sound. |

| On my Vizio tv, the HDMI cable carries the sound....If you are using the red/white cable...You are not getting the best sound!!!!! |
