| For some reason suddenly my google.ca is driving me nuts by trying to type for me. It won't allow me to type at a normal speed because it is trying to figure out what IT thinks I want. Now searches are like pulling teeth!
Can anyone help me turn it off somehow...every search I get goes back years and to Yahoo, which I don't like/use, but this just started happening recently for me. Thanks for any help you can offer. |

| Mine does that also, I just keep typing. A list comes up below and if I see what I want listed I click it. There has been a change to Google search that I don't like....when I start typing it jumps to the top and if I hesitate and want to add another word like the version or the word download it won't accept it, I have to start over again. They must be making a lot of changes. |

| taigen, thanks for asking that question and thanks to the others for replying with the suggestions. I did not mind the auto fill in but disliked the jumping to the top and being unable to correct what I typed. Opting out of instant Google took care of my problem. |
