Anyone know about this maleware

I think it's maleware. People over on the amazon forums are complaining about g.impclksrv.com but it's not coming from amazon. One person ran malewarebytes , virus and such and no change. What happens is sometimes amazon.com will not load for them and sometimes when searching they just get a blank screen and they have tried various browsers, cleared the caches and all that good stuff.

At the bottom of the screen they get a small popup box that shows that script is loading and on any browser it gets stuck on "loading/transferring/connected data from g.impclksrv.com. I guess it's only happening on amazon but the mods over at amazon say it's nothing to do with them and we feel the computers are infected with something. I googled and can find nothing on this, anyone have a clue? Mary

Googling g.impclksrv.com doesn't return much. Similarweb.com seems to indicate that one of the sites that refers/referred traffic to it is Amazon.

Traceroute claims it to be located in(near?) Dallas, Texas on a server referred to as "li106-34.members.linode.com" with a current IP of 72.14.191.34. "linode.com" itself seems to be a legitimate cloud host but "li106-34.members.linode.com" has a bad WOT rating.

g.impclksrv.com is running Apache web server (version 2.2.15) on a machine running CentOS. Useless info? Probably, except maybe to show that it is indeed a real machine, all booted up and... ?

On Amazon, can a private merchant include HTML in their item's description? A video? If so, maybe someone included content hosted on g.impclksrv.com and it's no longer accessible? Very much a wild guess.

That bad WOT probably concerns me most.

Thanks, no sellers can 't do that on amazon. A lot of times on amazon if people are already infected with spyware they blame it on amazon but it just happens to be it pops up when they are on amazon and don't realize it's not amazon at all. I figure they were infected before they went to the amazon page so they will have to figure out how to clean their computer of this I guess. Mary

Hi Trisha57 thank you for replying and caring. Solid wood flooring would not work in my home since I live on the preserved wetlands in a townhouse with concrete floors and no basement. To install a plywood subfloor in order to install solid wood floors would raise my floor way higher than my 3/8th thick Porcelain Ceramic Tile and also be a problem with doors in the other room. I also plan to do tile in the kitchen and really would like my wood floors to be around the height of my kitchen floors and my two foyer area floors. My client today showed me that the BR-111 might be thinner at 3/8th thick with the 3 MM wood on top but it fits together so much better and is tighter fit. The Coswick Rift & Quarter Sawn White Oak (with the 4 MM real wood on top) fits together the best and is so nice also. I just wanted to know if anyone heard of this flooring and if they had, what comments they had about it. The 3 MM real wood on top & the 4 MM real wood on top can be refinished also and sanded if need be.

I purchased a Forno stove in October 2021. June of 2022 the serious issues began and have continued. Approximately two months after the warranty expired the oven would not ignite (Thanksgiving Day, 2023). Eventually I received a reply from customer service with too much in bold print telling me that my unit was out of warranty, parts would be supplied per their technician according to my report of problems with stove which were, igniters would not stay off while burners were on, oven would not stay lit, wires were frayed going to igniters. There was duct tape behind the knob holding part of the cover behind knobs together. That is a fire hazard for sure. I received a box of parts free of charge with igniters, new wiring, but no burner for oven. Repairman stated the whole stove was in the box except the burners, doors and walls. Today is March 1 and the igniters installed February 22 have already gone out, so much for free parts supplied by Forno. I have begged for a new stove. I was offered a new unit half price with a one-year warranty which would begin when payment was made, not delivery. Delivery could take weeks. Their company may not be a sham, but their website does not tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Customer service with this company is sub-par.

I'm not particularly brave when it comes to iffy food. How inconvenient would it be for you to return it. I don't know how old that video was but it did say the dip was $6. I've returned something to a grocery store a couple of times over the years and have never been questioned or faced any kind of argument. Not that the first day of the month and a holiday weekend would be a good day to be in a store. DH went this morning at 6 AM to beat a crowd. He'd driven in yesterday afternoon and left without parking....no parking spots available in the lot, and its not like he looks for something near the doors. He parks as far out as he can to reduce the risk someone might scratch his precious truck ;)
