A CAD (ctrl-alt-delete) pushed at the same time will present a menu. Select Start Task Manager. In the appearing window select the Applications tab. Locate the appropriate entry and right click on it. On the appearing menu select End Task or the similar radio button. A response to this action may take a few moments.

At worst,

A reboot.

You, I had been there to the menu screen twice and just didn't know what to do so exit out of it yesterday and today.

Now, I know to click the task manager. Boy do I ever have a lot of things running. No wonder my computer is so slow.

Many of the processes listed in task manager are background Windows system functions ... not programs that you are actively running/using.

There sure is a lot of them.

Its doing it again, as I downloaded a file.

I do not remember what entry I clicked on in the applications windows.

There must be something else going on. I thought it perhaps was the old file link was bad as the file itself had been removed. But, these 3 files that I downloaded are good one and from three different sources that I purchased.

What else should I be doing to get the downloaer working right?

My Motherboard went out last week and I got the computer back on Friday. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the downloader not working correctly now. As it was working fine prior to the mother board going out.

Try downloading one at a time, you are over whelming your PC (confusing) it's tap dancing as fast as it can, give it a break! LOL

What antivirus are you running? Are the two original files still attempting to download or is this the next ones? Are you using some sort of 'Downloader' utility or simply firefox? How long since you rebooted the computer?

I have always downloaded 3 or 4 files at a time or If it is too much the computer just puts the next files on hold until a file is finished.
Normally they are files that only take a minute or two. Sometimes by the time I get to another site they are finished before I start another download.

I am using Avast. I do not have a downloader software. I am just using Firefox. I rebooted many times trying to get rid of these. I shut the computer down each night also.

No problems with asking questions, this is how a doctor figures out whats wrong.

The first file from Saturday I had gotten rid of. The Monday is still trying to redown load. It finished and did not clear out of the list.
The next two from Tuesday different files are still trying to redown load. They did finish Tuesday.

Just a guess on my part, I may be misunderstanding, but If downloads work okay everywhere except for one particular "Craft" page, it's likely the fault of that page and there's probably nothing you can do. That said, I'd still probably clear cache and cookies.
