As with cordless power tools, you're paying for the convenience of not having to deal with a cord (or air hose). Of course a big battery is going to add considerably to weight and bulk. If you have a decent compressor, then you're probably going to save some money going with air tools, not to mention they'll be more compact. Torque should be torque but as you've learned, batteries die with use. Lithium is the way to go, along with high capacity batteries (measured in amp hours, more is better). Milwaukee has a 3/4" impact that puts out a "maximum" of 750 ft-lbs. of torque tightening and 1,200 loosening. The kit will set you back about $500. ;-) And they will be bringing out a 9 amp hour battery this fall. That's a big battery... As I'm sure you know, there are many grades (and price points) with tools. A few years back I used a spiffy, new Snap-On impact and it was pretty sweet. More than the average shade tree mechanic should probably spend though.

What's the best non back pack power sprayer? I have a 12 year old Rocket Sprayer, and need to replace it, am thinking about Spot Shot. Which is better or is there a better sprayer than those. Thanks for any replies.

I purchased a Greenworks 16 inch saw after using a plug-in for years. If you have smaller hands it is probably not the one for you. To release the safety to start it is too difficult so it sits in it's box. Will be given away later. There are many different ones on the market currently. I would suggest purchasing one with a blade 12 inches or less but longer than the really short 6-8 inch ones. The really short ones place your knuckles too close to what you are trying to cut which even with thick gloves can result in bruises. I would also suggest purchasing one that is basically a power pack that you can add additional things to it. Some have weed eaters, blowers, hedge trimmers. Always be careful. Wear shoes that grip the ground, long pants, and shirts. Always heavy duty work goggles. Nothing loose and if you have longish hair tie and pin it up and back so it can not get caught in the mechanism if you have to lean over. Best to never lean over at all as chips can fly in your face.

Ceilsan32, I have an update you might be interested in. I started this season with a working EGO mower. In early May it crapped out on me. I called my local (rural) lawn mower repair guys. They looked at it and checked it for power to all the places they thought power should be, but they could not fix it. Since the regular lawn mower repair shops can't work on it, you have to call EGO to get a referral to get it repaired. I took it to a Home Depot that has tool rental and dropped it off. Home Depot no longer carries EGO so I doubt they repair them, but it's likely all that repair stuff transferred to Lowe's as they now sell EGO. Anyway, the problem was it simply didn't start the blade motor. The power drive motor worked fine. HD told me right away they would be sending the mower to Atlanta for repair. EIGHT WEEKS later, I got a call that I could pick up my mower. The problem was the push arm (actually something in the wiring in the arm apparently broke). That part of the mower is NOT COVERED by warranty. The charge was only $52, so there's nobody that would have fixed it for that charge, but still I thought the entire mower was warrantied. The worst part was waiting 8 weeks to mow with my own mower. I used my EGO string trimmer during the mower outage. That's not as bad/hard as it sounds for my 4,000 square feet.
