What version of Firefox?

Upgrade to the most recent if you have to, then see what happens.

bus driver, maybe not far fetched. I had a browser problem with Ebay several months ago, not quite the same. I couldn't leave or view feedback with IE, all other functions were fine. I could only get to the feedback pages using Firefox, found myself going back and forth between browsers (so taking a bit more time) participating there.

Next update that offered a newer version of IE, all was fine again. Something in the previous version that had somehow been corrupted on my computer? I don't know. But I like two fully functioning browsers installed on my computer, missed having that choice those weeks.

Try different browsers until you find one that works ok. There are many to choose from.

Use IE 11 here to bid, pay and buy it now things on ebay and all is working fine. Sorry that is not much help but ebay is working as should be as far as I can tell. Mary

Interesting and helpful replies. If Mozilla and IE will not suffice for eBay, then I can live without them. As it is true that that are other browsers, there also are other online vendors. Obviously they have some of the sharpest programmers-- and can well afford them-- considering all that their website does. All worked well until recently and it is my belief that eBay changed something that caused the problem. But I cannot prove that. As far as I know, they have done nothing to help me.
The local public library-- which is not near at all, has computers that sharply limit what users can do. I might go and see if I can do a transaction there. If so, then that would point to my computer as the problem.

I use IE for everything and encounter no problems what so ever. Using windows 7 and IE 11 on a desktop and laptop and nothing has changed when using ebay for me. Don't know what to tell you. Mary

Interesting to read the comments at the links posted. Now I do not feel like the Lone Ranger. With Buy It Now, I can put the item in my Watch List with no problem, but I cannot buy it!
I contacted one seller and asked him/her to get me an email address that could be used at Paypal to send money to him and then he could ship the item. Instead he sent me an "Offer" through eBay and that did not work either.
When I managed a manufacturing business, one of the guiding principles was that it must be easy to do business with us. Customers vote with their "feet". Now I search Amazon more than before.

Since those posts were a month old have you made a fresh post on the e-bay help forums? I find the help forums over there nice if I am having problems with something since it's other users helping out that know everything about ebay. Mary

Language interface issues between older browser versions and probable upgrades to e-Bay site. As far as why can't they resolve those issues on the programming end, good question. But I hold up "healthcare.gov" as a prime example . . . But I only know a tiny bit about computer programming. Too many chiefs, not enough programming indians, is what I suspect. Throw out changes without much forethought or testing.

Today I temporarily disabled "Ghostery" tracker blocker which I use. That did not change anything about the ebay problem. Since I can bid and put items in my watch list, I believe that the other problems are in the eBay system rather than in my computer.

What are they saying over on the e-bay forums, are a lot of other people having the same problem? Mary

Yesterday I went to the public library for my area to try to do an eBay transaction. They have IE only, not Mozilla. Could not use Buy It Now nor Add To Cart from the library computer.
So I do not believe that the problem is in my computer
Some discussions suggest that PaisaPay is the problem. I have received messages from them but never responded in any way.
PaisaPay is in India and supposedly is for transactions only in India. I have no idea how I got associated with PaisaPay, but many of those experiencing problems have received messages from India.

Interesting, wonder if it put some kind of maleware on the computer that is screwing up ebay? Mary

I now believe that eBay has some problem with some accounts, thus the problem is with their system, not with a browser.

Got connected today by phone with an eBay rep who logged into my account as if it was me doing it from my computer. Experienced exactly what I I do. So now we know that the problem is eBay. Since she can duplicate the condition from her location and seems most willing to help, things are looking encouraging.
She is having their IT deal with it. And I believe that she will.
