Scroller on laptop freezes

Posted by cornsnakelover (My Page) on

I have a new HP laptop that the scroller keeps freezing up on. The unit is cool, and it happens whether or not I am just getting on the internet or have been on it a while. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If it is new I would either call HP or take it back.

Sitting around here somewhere I've an HP laptop that I bought because I liked the look and feel - and it was on deep discount sale. I rarely use it because it has to be propped up to increase circulation or it overheats and freezes.

If overheating is the problem, try using a cooling pad with fans built in. I bought on several years ago for less than $20.
