Is everyone getting this new advertisement at the bottom of the page "Rev up your back to school routine"?

It seems to happen with using Chrome, does not happen with IE8 or FF..As a matter of fact, this post does not even show when I use Chrome

I get in in Firefox 14.0.1 if I disable both Adblock Plus and Ghostery.

Another PIA for sure. I've had challenges with having to sign in after every post, missing scrollbars, pop ups, and slow loading pages. I get the ads for revenue but I'd rather pay to post like some have mentioned. If we have to have the ads so be it I guess. Just wish the pages loaded faster like they use to....with or without all the ads. : ) David

Here's a problem I ran across when I was first doing websites. You make a change to a page, upload it, open your browser and look at the page and it is not fixed. A few rounds and you are ready to tear your hair out and wondering what ever possessed you to mess with this infernal project. Often browsers keep copies of things in the cache and do not always re-load the new page. Or you are loading the page on your harddrive and thinking you are loading the website one, or visa-versa. Try cleaning out your cache, or hitting 'shift' + reload. It may be you fixed the problem already but can't see it.

Bump. ***Attention Buehl***----- I emailed the GW Staff to ask if it would be possible to add ALL your wonderful compiled info to the Sticky. They emailed me back saying they want you to contact the manager and they would be happy to update the Sticky. (You probably have an email from them in your mail.) Thank you Buehl for all your work!! I know I have saved this thread and referred to it several times. You are a jewel!

I am getting the ad in FF (which I normally use) but so far not in IE8 which I normally use only for work.

The experience I've had with AdBlock Plus my last few installs is that it has started automatically (and randomly) subscribing me to a blocklist. Randomly choosing between Easylist and Fanboy.

I suspect they started doing an auto-subscribe because folks used to add AdBlock Plus, fail to subscribe to a list, and then complain that it didn't work?

Maybe it doesn't do that in Windows? My memory is short. I think it does though.

Either way, Fanboy on this machine, no ads. Easylist on my netbook and my server, no ads.

If I were going to run IE 9, I'd make use of it's new "Tracking Protection" feature with EasyList. http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Browser/TrackingProtectionLists/

I was getting the iVillage ad on the bottom of my screen in FF, but I was not using Adblock Plus. I installed Adblock Plus, and....POOF.... the ad is gone.
