New problem now

When I was looking around trying to change the settings I really messed up. Now, I can't post to my files..I tried to download a plugin/filter and I couldn't. I tried to add some graphics.
I am told that I don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission.
I am the administrator and the only one using the computer. Please tell me how to fix this.

I really messed up

Your best option now, do a windows System restore. See if that resolves the current issue. Remember you can un do a System restore should the restore point is not what you expected.

If you do not know what you are doing then leave your settings alone! it was obviously the senders problem in the first place and not yours the receiver. Now yes indeed do a restore, and perhaps save, save, save your files, incase you need to do a factory reset/restore. You must have changed admin full access.

No don't let him be eaten. If he died from an infection you are feeding bad things to your other fish. Always remove a dead fish as soon as you see one. If it's just deadish take it out anyway and put it in a quarantine bucket or such. You'll get thousands of dollars of advice here for free, don't hire someone. Go to the store today and get a water test kit so you can get a handle on what is happening to kill fish and plants too. I suspect the ph but I'm very new at this too. A 28 gallon pond is a small tank, maybe you could use an indoor type bubbler filter. You don't have much room for anything else.

Susan...now you know a pizza box just isn't gonna work...cause first you'll be thinkin whimsical...then about 2am one morning...you'll wake up and whimsical turns it to "IM HUNGRY FOR PIZZA"...LOL My son just had a car hood delivered to our house...the box was huge...about 5 feet long by 3 feet high...needless to say I went out there with a box cutter cause the cardboard was perfect for framing pictures...It would be perfect to sandwich your paper in between... I'd try Home Depot or Loews or Walmart early in the morning...you'll find your box for a perfect fit!!

Her feet don't show any signs of a problem, she isn't chewing or licking them at all, isn't limping or showing any signs of discomfort, but I'll check with the vet. Don't want to put anything on her feet until I find out if it's safe.

Thanks Ncrealestate guy. I hope you're right! GreenDesigns, I don't think I'm naive. This is the fifth house I've sold by owner. I've actually "sold" this place three times, twice for the full asking price, and that's pretty darn good in this economy. There was nothing more anyone could have done to prevent this. This buyer was brought to me by an agent and both she and I did everything we could to pre-qualify him. His not being able to get the mortgage was because he had to lower the price for HIS buyer due to something they found (THAT HIS AGENT MISSED), and that left him with a lot less money for his down payment than planned. Listen, I understand real estate agents can be invaluable. I have thought of becoming one myself. Most people need one. But not everyone does. I know how you guys feel. I hate it when people go down to Lowe's and buy hardwood and then put it in themselves. (We're in the flooring business.) We always say to ourselves, "Ha! Let's see how this comes out..." Many times they mess up. But sometimes they're educated and experienced about flooring and they don't. And they save a lot of money. I LIKE selling my houses myself. I have a strong sales background and I enjoy figuring out how to market it, etc. Even with all this stress, it's a challenge and it's interesting. That's why I come on here. I like talking about real estate. If I didn't think you all had such a hard job, I'd become an agent myself.

Stop what you are doing, find the user manual - should be on-line at Microsoft's site - and READ what it says about settings and admin accounts and ordinary user accounts.

If you have a specific question about any part of the instructions, come ask and give us a link to the specific page you are having problems with ... but no one is going to be able to explain the ins and outs of system administration any better than MSFT.

Doing a "restore" will wipe out ALL your data, ALL your settings, and anything you may have installed.

Wrong about the above message!! you can do a restore and keep all your files intact, you have 2 options on that. The reason I said save, is it's easy to save your files pics. etc. to a flash drive incase you choose option to restore back to factory settings in other words like you just take the PC out of the box and start over.

Let the user do a windows system restore first and then wait for the user to confirm if that works. If that does not work find out what location the user is trying to SAVE to, desktop, "C" drive, Documents. Considering a Factory restore and messing with the administrator account is premature at best at this point.

The user may need to just take ownership of the folder they can't save too, if the system restore, not factory, but system restore does not work.

Sending the user to Microsoft to read about Admin accounts, is going to only confuse them, generate a bunch of questions, and probably not address the issue that the user is confronting.

It doesn't appear to be an Administrator issue. It looks like a permissions issue, there's a difference

I found what my problem was and corrected it.
