Saving contacts and other info from iPhone

When I go into the office tomorrow, the paperwork for me to go out on a four week (or possibly longer) medical will be set in motion.

A few years ago my employer issued me a laptop and iPhone so that I can be on call 24/7. I don't know for a fact but I suspect they may ask for the iPhone and laptop back while I'm out. As such, I would like to copy as much of my personal info off the iPhone as possible before tomorrow morning.

Any suggestions?

I had to Google this, looks half decent, others may have thoughts too.

Synchronize the iPhone with Apple iTunes software on a computer to copy contacts information.

I followed the instructions but it calls for Outlook and I don't have it installed on my PC laptop.

I found instructions without having to use Outlook but I don't trust iTunes to download without messing with the current contents of my phone.

I use the iTunes extensively at the office (5,000 songs, hundreds of photos and some videos) but have never used it at home on my PC. I'm afraid if I use Sync, it will override my phone with the contents of my home iTunes setup which contains nothing.

Buying iPhone from Apple Store or Provider Store?

I bought my iPod and iPhone from my local Apple Store. I have been in many times to ask questions and they are very happy to answer them. The Apple stores have several free workshops where you can learn all about the phone. When I buy my next computer it is going to be an Apple in large part because I can drive 10 minutes and ask questions about my new computer, not have to talk to someone across the globe! Ginny

This post is about locating furniture before purchasing and is a good example of the new media (internet and social media) fails to interact with a manufacturers existing channels of sales reps and retailers. I have noticed the larger the manufacturer is, the more likely this becomes a issue. So many manufacturers sales reps who been around for decades and have yet to embrace or even use the internet, thus creating a large communication gap between retailers and manufacturers. Nikkikling, your not the first to run into this situation with manufacturers and definitely wont be the last, sorry to say.

The only advice I can give is that be careful. We are a group of at least 23 (we hear that there may be as many as 30-40 of us!) BURNED Schuco by NuView customers in the Metro DC area. And what is particularly distressing is that Schuco was aware that this dealer was up to financial games for MONTHS and MONTHS, and yet continued to endorse them as their "exclusive" dealer. Schuco does not appear to have any standards when it comes to selecting dealers (though they were very careful to protect themselves by requring payment in full up front! I should add!), and when their chosen exclusive dealer walks off with thousands of customer dollars, Schuco tells us, "not our problem!"
