Do the animated photos have the .gif extension? Shouldn't be any problem uploading .gif's.

OOPS! I meant animated signatures.

It has the right extension.

When I upload an animated gif for use in an animated signature it goes like this:

1) I click "Upload"
2) I click "Select photos and videos"
3) Up pops this selection box:

I'm not encountering a drop-down box.

Is what I'm doing different from what you're doing?

I can't find an answer. All I can do is confirm that .gif's show up in my selection box.

When I click on upload this is what I get. I was able to upload this using the bulk uploader.

It looks like you need to click on Libraries at the left and navigate to the folder the .gif is stored in.

There always seem to be problems with photobucket and uploading lately as friends are always complaining. I dumped them years ago and went to webshots and it works so much better. Doesn't hosts gifs so for those I use image shack. Mary

Assuming you have a gif sitting there on your desktop and it's not showing up in the selection dialog because it's not being recognized as a "Media" file, I would think it's a file association problem.

It's still working for me so I wouldn't think it's Photobucket:

I'm not an expert though, especially not in Windows, maybe Bob or someone more knowledgeable can help you with that, assuming that's even really the problem.

Personally, I'd probably consider resetting all file associations to default.

Edit: I'm assuming that's Seven, if not it may be useless. This one is for XP and allows fixing only the broken extension.
