I often get this message and either choice to click on takes it away, only to come back later. Flashplayer Update Service.exe application error
(I have the appropriate ones in Add/Remove.) I've googled and found a lot of the same suggestion. This site seems to be the best. Do I want to do that download? Flash Player 11.3.300.257 (Non-IE) 64-bit

dont download that it maybe something you dont want. Adobe recommends to for most problems to uninstall flash using their tool,, followed by a reboot.. then install new and fresh. uninstall flash players; for firefox and other mozilla's http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win /install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe for Internet Explorer; btw; Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.268 .. these work for both 32 and 64 bit systems now.

When researching how to correct Adobe 11.3.300.257 with Firefox problems I found Adobe URLs that said to first run a hardware check and then uninstall before proceeding. I didn't understand the hardware check and am waiting for my IT person.
|
Mikie, haven't done that yet. Think I'll wait to see what Albert's IT guy says. Albert, you will let us know, won't you. please? TIA Sue

My IT "guy" is my wife - gee, what sexist we have here - and she has decided to buy a repossessed house as an investment so she has told me, in affect, bugger off until I am done with this real estate transaction. So I am plodding through 'issue 2' at Issues : Flash Player 11.3 : Mozilla Firefox and not making much progress.

Spouse is stumped. We've no idea what to do next. We're switching to IE for several applications where we have use Firefox for a few years now.

Sorry to be so long getting back here. I did not do a hardware check. Just used a flash player uninstaller. Googled for the one that fit my needs. Followed that by the installer. Haven't had that message any since I did that. Sue
