Virus?

I went to a site & Avast blocked it. Then I did a boot time scan & it came up with the following. I told it to delete. Is this a virus & am I clean if it is? If it isn't clean what should I do. I no longer have HIGH JACK THIS link.

Dar according to your post it has found and deleted an infection. You can always confirm this by running another scan which should come back with a clean report.

I believe you have either Superantispyware or Malwarebytes. Run a full scan with which ever you have as well. We cannot be too careful these days.

Why do you feel you need HiJackThis? It is a dangerous program if used unwisely.

First of all.. the only reason I would have done a HJT would be to put a report in here.. NO! I would never do anything with it on my own.
I Have both MWB & Superantispyware & scan with them both often & do get the latest update. I did a full scan with both after getting blocked & came out clean with them. Then I did a boot time scan & found the virus.
I am going to do another boot time scan. I guess if it comes clean I am OK.. hope so.

I am using chrome browser. For some reason my extensions don't always work right. They will when I 1st put on Chrome then after awhile will just flash & go back off. We have re-installed Chrome but that didn't help. I have to close Chrome & open it back up if I want to use one of them.. no big deal really but shouldn't have to do that.

Also when I save my bookmarks to a flash drive it cuts them off before all get saved. Now I'm having to save them to the desktop then send them to the flash drive. Then I have to find them & drag them to the right folder. Again NO big deal but shouldn't have to do all that to save my bookmarks to a flash drive that has plenty of free space.. I save them onto 2 flash drives just in case.

It has appeared in PA, NY, and MI in the US and in all three cases a quarantine was set up. You must be near the NY quarantine. The PA quarantine was lifted recently. The disease is from Europe and you should never see it, even in a quarantine zone. If you ever see it the USDA should be notified and the tree(s) should be destroyed. KB2 Here are a couple of pictures of virused leaves. You be the judge as far as yours are concerned.. as you know best what yours look like. Yours do appear to be more like spots than the actual moasic pattern, and it does appear that you do infact have mealy bugs,but never having had mealy bugs (so far) I'm not sure what their sucking would do to the leaves...I do wish you luck.. I will say that the Oskar in the first picture showed the moasic pattern right off the bat..most often the leaves come out clear and healthy looking and then when the weather gets hot or they are stressed for some other reason then the sympoms appear (at least for me, living in the cooler coastal northeast.... if it put it in quarantine you should be ok, most antivirus programs allow you to go to the chest and from there select delete. I would also run these 2 free programs to make sure you do not have anything else. SUPERAntiSpyware Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. * Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. I still have one or my Thailand grafts that didn't take and has shown no symptoms compared to the ones that I tossed few years ago. There is a grower from India that had a web page showing plant deficiencies and diseases that no long exists. It seems that a lot of good plant information from a few years ago has been removed.
