Good morning.

I did it , Mike . It went in easily because she had her wifi username and password ready for me.

I thank you for you're patience. You discerned from the "Zimbra incident "

In the spring I'm not that easy to teach. Soooo many questions.

I look forward to moving on to hdmi cable and a flat screen for her or I think I can use the extra RCA cables instead. I'm not sure.

What should we tackle next? Ha ha ha.

I feel great!!!

I'm glad to hear that everything worked out for you and your friend. I told you it wasn't that complicated!

When she gets around to buying that new TV, the old RCA cables will go into the box next to the rotary phone. ;-) Just so you know, don't spend a lot of money on cables. The store would love to sell you a $30 (or more) HDMI cable when you can find them for under $10. I picked up a bag of 3 HDMI cables for $9.99. They work just fine!

Mike is correct regarding the HDMI cables. Consumer Reports published that for the general viewer HDMI cables are pretty much equal. The only warning was advise to stay away from those offered at dollar stores.

There are sseveral mikes so me being one of them I'll give this a shot. If any part of the tree is dry and brittle then that part is probably a goner. We use a trick to determine what parts are still alive. Scrap a small piece of bark with your fingernail. If you see green that point is still alive. If its brown its probably dead. Mike

Open Word...select Envelopes + Labels...click on Labels > Options > Label Vendors [should give you a long list of vendors in addition to Avery] and then select what Avery program or label size you want. There are many, many Avery options. That should give you everything you need. All you'll have to do is actually supply the correct # Avery label for printing. There should be no need to download an Avery program but it's an available option if you can't find the label # you need. I haven't done it in a long time so I can't attest to its success...but I have done it in the past. Today...the Avery options listed in Word are so complete that it's not really necessary to download any Avery program directly.

I am no fan of Kaiser. Agree with Elmer wholeheartedly on medical mishaps as well as delays in getting important labs and testing . But I can attest that the entire state has a huge mental health care problem. The county Elmer and I live in has a horrid shortage of psychiatrists available. It's not just Kaiser. We have excellent supplemental insurance along with medicare and have full access to any Stanford affiliate as well as most major hospitals. My DH is Bipolar and today we learned he may have another condition that may add dementia into the mix of rapid cycling of mania and depression. Let me tell you, there is no such thing as weekly visits here. Appointments are monthly and you better not miss one. Rescheduling is a nightmare. I have been dealing with this system for over twenty years. Our own personal physician is needing to get psychiatric help that is rather unique for a family member and he is finding it a nightmare to get an appropriate doctor. On the 4th of July we had a mental health crisis. I called everywhere. Our psychiatrist is in one of the largest mental health groups in the area. They were closed. I called several hotlines. Leave a message. In desperation I called two separate suicide hotlines. Both had a machine answer saying leave a message. I finally called the police for help. No help whatsoever. I requested CIT (Crisis Intervention) trained units. I got one officer who tried to help but was over ruled by his superior with a big attitude. A thug behind a badge. My friend stayed with me all night in fear for me and the house itself. So picking Kaiser out as a scapegoat is pure bull. I would never have Kaiser insurance , they have a lot of problems but what that article state is no different county wide and i have been told statewide. Yesterday I had another crisis to deal with. Neighbors called the police. I was calling for help. The police came over an hour and a half later when I already had him inside and calmed down. We were lucky to get a great team this time. I was very grateful to them for the way they handled things and understood the situation and how I handled it. Even DH didn't get his feathers ruffled up by them. I let them know I was happy to have them and thanked the neighbor who called them. I also told them I hope that they could make a change. Our force is known by every lawyer and outside forces for their bad apples. If they moved on elsewhere I would certainly understand.

Now that this appears to be all over you may consider tagging your other threads to this one. A chat format using multiple threads can leave members in the lurch as to prior content. Keeping information on a single thread helps members to both assist and learn faster. When the thread pops up to the top members will know there is new content. If the thread has faded down and responses are not presented in what you feel is a reasonable time you can always "bump" it up again.

Note: July 28, 2012. As one can see if they read this post I was brilliant when I made the final connection between a blu-ray player with wifi, an old television and a wifi system already in place. I started on July 2, asking the question if I could connect a blu-ray player to an old television. This post continued on to its final posting site to explain how to connect a new blu-ray DVD player to a 13 year old television. It is a great lesson and worth reading.

As a novice I unabashedly asked some questions over and finally I HEARD the answer. That's the way it goes when learning from scratch at any age.

It also shows the power and the generosity of the Computer Help forum.

I give my final results here on July 28, 2012 with a shout out called Mike Kaiser, can I have a word with you. Yes I was successful but so was Mike who kept me going over and over again with his instructions and visual aids from the actual DVD I was planning on buying and Zep who gave me a good chart that everyone should take to Best Buy if they tell you it can't be done. Damcoy started me with his encouragement to not linger with old technology and Grandms as always looked in on my progress.
