There is a new RC for FF. I believe it is entitled 3.6 RC1. If you are not sure about Flash, using FF go to adobe.com and ferret to the Flash download site. Be sure that you have the download for FF and install it. It will not hurt anything if you already had the most current version and reinstalled. DA

Hi, Genes. I'm afraid I'm not following you. I use Gmail - and don't use an email client. So I'm talking about the single lines in the inbox that state the sender, subject and time. The subject and sender used to appear in bold for unread emails. Now the unread emails are not in bold - and are not visually distinct from the read emails. I get many, many emails a day (listservs etc), so quickly being able to scan my inbox for the new emails is important. I have literally spent a couple of hours searching the net - and gmail forums for solutions. All I find is a lot of mentions of the problems when gmail gets updated - and those complaints are from various times in the past year. But no solutions (except a couple of suggestions for adding the stylish add-on to regain contrast). I did the firefox stylish add-on but it didn't do anything. This problem seems like something gmail would have fixed or allowed to be altered in settings. But I've poured through settings and can't restore the contrast. Thanks. Lynn.

The Bold & Italics choices at the bottom of the comments box allows some editing. Good move as far as I'm concerned. The bold makes it much easier for me to read. I've had so many computer issues for the last 6 months, I was close to throwing them out the window after I.E. started "not working" over and over every day. Reluctantly I switched to Firefox last night. I imported all my I.E. favorites. It's not been as bad as I expected. Reentering passwords has been annoying and it will take a while for auto fill to know where I want to go. It WILL know, won't it? I.E. showed my most used sites on the new tab. Will/does Firefox do something similar?

i made a few that i was trying to create sort of a universal one...where all you have to do is change the picture, basically plug in your own image. those are the last ones i did called "backgrounds" and also another one with the morning glories. it might be a bit intimidating, but if you install them, go to add ons (in your browser), click edit...it brings up the code. if you scroll down to where theres a web address, and erase that one then put your own pictures web address in, it will show that image in the background. and with the text box defined with a different color, so its not just on top of the image. if you felt bold, you might even take that one (the daffodils) and then go look for where the text box color is, figure out the number of the color you want....and then change that number to whatever color you want. you can also use them on top of each other. the simple font and color changing one that molanic made will help a lot with the colors of links, size of fonts, and such. so you can start with which ever one you like best, then install the color changing one to add the text boxes, the font size...etc...and it will be both at once, and work together. yeah that would be the easier way to get the daffodil one to have more variation. this is the one that changes colors and fonts: https://userstyles.org/styles/110474/gardenweb-houzz-colors
