Firefox-can't find save tabs on exit

Anybody know what happened to Firefox save tabs feature when closing browser? I can't seem to find it in add-ons or extensions.
Loved that feature because I jump right onto my online email and facebook without entering web urls.

Isn't it still in "Options"?

Tools->Options->General

To do what you want, I believe it should be set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time".

Like this:

Chuggerguy, I checked options and can't find it there either. Chrome still has the save tabs option but I have issues with Chrome on Pinterest.

sometimes firefox will hang on shutdown anytime that happens just do as bpgreen said go to contrl alt delete select firefox and choose to end task, that will shut it down for you. If ever you have it pop up a box that says firefox is running already or that the profile is in use you need to create a new profile don't ever do that just close out that box and do exactly what I said above and end task on it.

Can't figure out why my Firefox Colorful Tabs don't display

Biwako - I went to options and changed it to default (I had had it set for colors to correlate with domain - and it used to work like that - but I thought I'll try anything). Again - it worked at first - and then the color goes away (it's odd - it's not just when I close a tab or open a new one that it's white - the same tab that was blue before - now is white - no colors now at all). I cannot imagine what add-on might conflict. It's a daunting task to figure out which one. I've been so wild about the FF add-ons - that I have a ton of them. I don't believe any of them were new (oh - except for extensions to try and capture hulu streaming videos). I'll try the safemode and see if colorful tabs works there. If it does, I'm willing to try eliminating those last couple of video capture extensions. If that doesn't work - I'm in for a big, long process of elimination. I don't have any color - or the other extensions that were identified as being incompatible with Colorful Tabs. But something else has gone awry - my all-in-one-sidebar doesn't work consistently either. I guess something I added or updated is causing a problem. I'll report back if I figure it out. Thanks. Thanks for the suggestions, both of you. I tried that earlier, Richard, and see some things, but not all. It's weird . . . even in Libraries in the Photoshop menu, my folder named 2015 Photos is missing, but everything else in that section (Libraries --> Pictures) is there, including 2012 Photos, 2013 Photos, and 2014 Photos. Aputernut, going that route the photo folders are not visible to me. I checked the Settings to make sure recently used files/folders aren't hidden, and they weren't. I didn't ask W10 to make any changes whatsoever. The photo option I referred to able was an app it wanted to add, and I refused. Windows 7 didn't mess with my photos, and I didn't want to "improve" on that. I'm not concerned that I've lost these pictures; I have them backed up, and I'm pretty sure they're still on the computer; I just can't get to them.

Anyone know the Pale Moon browser and/or FireFox addon, Scrapbook??

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me, Richard. I have been trying your suggestions, but is -> the same as >? I've been trying various combinations of space, dash, and >, but am not familiar with the combination of a dash and >. Anyway, I did finally figure out that Pale Moon has not disabled Scrapbook. But all its contents are still missing, no matter what I do. At some point, I also got to Scrapbook in my FF profile, but then nothing inside it led to a solution. The best I could do was to choose the browser to open an .rdf file, which resulted--depending on what I clicked on--in messages: (1) "This XML file (Huh? I thought it was RDF.) does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below" and some meaningless repetitions of RDF and "urn:scrapbook:root" that took me to a very confusing list of unhelpful things when I clicked on it, and (2) an extremely long list of items in a blue font, some of which bore a resemblance to things that might have been in Scrapbook, while others did not, all smashed together with no organization and impossible to use. I suppose this was for the same reason mentioned in (1), that there was no style information associated with it. I am considering that "last resort." I'm tempted to go ahead with sys restore immediately, but as it happens, the only restore point is 9/12, which was well before PM was installed, so to be polite, I will wait to see if anyone on the Pale Moon forum (where I have posted about this problem) offers a solution. Somehow, I despair of success in this case, and I'll probably have to give up on the lost Scrapbook entries and then decide whether or not all the trouble and confusion are worth sticking with Pale Moon. The way it and Firefox seem to be communicating and changing things in each other behind the scenes might drive me crazy. I've never come across anything like that before.

I found something like it on my FF home page. Restore Previous Session. Works good enough. Thanks, guess I just needed some prompting to keep searching. Didn't expect to find it there.

I'm glad you found a workaround.

I still can't figure how why I have that option and you don't though.

It looks like for me:

If I set mine to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", closing Firefox and reopening causes the tabs I had open while closing to be opened again.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

That's not the Tools->Options->General menu

It's the Edit ->Preferences -> General dialog boxes.

Lazygardens...what browser/OS are you using? My FF with W7 has the identical box to Chuggerguy's when I open

Chugger's image is what I see in Tools >> Options >> General. I suspect that Firefox in the Linux OS that lazygardens is using is somewhat different. That leads me to wonder why he/she wants to get involved with the problems of a Windows user.

I fired up 2003 Server in Virtualbox to do the screenshot above, so it should look like XP.

Sometimes I do post screens using Linux Firefox. Not this time though. There's not much difference. Linux Firefox "Options" are called "Preferences" and are found under "Edit". So in Linux it is Edit->Preferences->General.

In Linux in looks like this:

The title looks to be the only real difference?

That's really strange ... because there's no reason for FireFox to maintain two different menu systems and two naming conventions.

Lemme look on my WinBox and see what it looks like.

Yeah, I don't know why they do that either. Personal choice of the respective maintainers perhaps?
