Copy & Paste from Web to Word 2007

This happened to me awhile back and and now I do not remember how I fixed it. Please help! I'm copying something very simple. I'm copying a recipe and the directions, and I have permission, however, the words will paste, but the picture will not--just shows a box if I click where it should be! Seems like I went into the Options, & checked 'show pictures', but that is already done. Please help!

Save the image to your computer and the use the insert command in Word to add the picture. Jpg file format is a smaller file size than bmp.

I have word 2010 there are 2 or 3 ways to paste. The first one just pastes, the third pastes without the formatting so you can edit it and not sure what the second is. Check and see if your word has that feature.

Well I'm in safe mode now and can copy and paste. The other day I added an add-on and I don't know what the name of it was, or how to find out what it was or how to just diable it or delete it once I find it. I'm thinking it is 'smart' something. I noticed that when I was surfing Garden Web that when I got toward the bottom of the page one list of threads that I could scroll on down and read pages 2,3,4, etc. Additionally whenever I would highlight something to either copy or do choose doing a Google search, there was a small box that came up at the end of the highlighted material, and it had 4 icons in it. I think they might have been for Twitter or Facebook or some other silly stuff I don't do. Help please...Suggestions? Sue

urlee, I must have some setting haywire on my computer.Â I cannot even highlight....then copy in this Computer Forum.Â When I try to highlight something on a webpage, I highlight it.....but with a blinking dotted line on the outside of the highlighted area.Â It is the same type of thing.....if you are going to crop a picture (that kind of dotted line)I can highlight....then copy from an email...then paste to another place.Â Â It is okay there.Â So It appears my problem is only with Internet Explorer.....and with a webpage.Â Do you know of any setting that I might check?Larry
