Using Ipad3.
When trying to watch Hulu (free), it says I have to download Flash Player. I understand Apple does not let you download FP, as there are many associated viruses.
How can I watch Hulu on an Ipad?

I have no personal experience, but a Google search suggests the Puffin browser may enable the playback of Flash content on an ios device. Consider using Google to answer questions like this.

The Silicon Valley version of this story (in the press and among people with no Apple affiliation) says there were some technical issues but also that it was a result of a public and long running feud between Jobs and Adobe. The Jobs-signed announcement of the Flash ban included several insults hurled in Adobe's direction.

Download the Hulu Plus app from the App Store and you will be able to watch Hulu. Enjoy!

acraftylady, okay click on the link provided above for free tv video site, on the page that opens on the tv show list is big bang theory click on that, it opens to the episodes page for the show. Okay now click on the very first one, special 1,that opens a new page, on that page go to the second listing, special episode one hosted at shockshare, click right where it says shockshare, that will open the viewer, there you will see a banner that says close ad and view as free user click that, the video will then begin. Not every one will show you the same banners over the viewer as you can see in the example shown above and you have to really pay attention in some cases to ensure you click the right thing. try it out see if you can get it playing.

The easiest thing to do, IMO, is to just think of any shows you would want to watch. Or search by networks. Then go through and add them all to MyStuff. I have a bunch of random things added to "my stuff" so when I feel like watching something, there is always something good available. It's a shift away from the network TV mindset because you have MUCH more control over what you watch and when. Having the no commercial plan is so wonderful b/c I don't even have to skip commercials like I did w/ a traditional cable company DVR. I've basically forgotten how annoying watching regular TV could be until I try to watch something elsewhere (like my inlaws house) and just find the whole thing w/ scanning through a guide and skipping commercials to be so cumbersome. I think once you get used to a different approach, you will really love it.

Yep. Although, I'm not sure I'd call Handmaid's Tale enjoyable. but it is gripping. Our other gripe? Netflix has finished Season 2 of Highlander. But I ordered the Season 3 dvd from the library, it's coming form another library in the consortium, so we will be back on track in a few days. I'm going to need more Hershey Kisses to handle the rigmarole.

I'm seeing it🙂 I forgot about that show. I recall seeing the ads. I had cancelled Hulu but we have it back again and I've been looking for new things to watch. I really enjoy shows and movies about young people, maybe because I work with and enjoy being with kids.

Yes you need the hulu plus app. You get a 1 week free trial then it's $7.99 a month so about the same as netflix. Just depends on who has more things you will watch. Mary

Forgot to say annoying that adobe does not support flash on android either. I found a work around on my kindle fire using dolphin browser for that. Mary

Can you watch TV programs via Hulu at the same time they come on using Verizon?

In other words, Shark Tank comes on Friday at 9:00pm. Can I watch it from Hulu at that time, and do away with Verizon Cable, or do I have to wait a day?

I don't think hulu works like that, I think it just like netflix only they have some different things netflix doesn't but you might read about hulu plus and see, I don't subscribe to it.

You might check if verizon has something online to watch channels live. We have time warner, have the digital box package but only have a box on the living room TV. I can log in to time warner online upstairs on the laptop and watch certain box channels on the computer live when they are airing so maybe verizon does something like that. I like that because there are a few channels I don't get on the TV upstiars since it just has basic cable so I can now watch my lizard lick towing up there. Something time warner started a few months ago.

There are also apps for some channels like HBO has HBO2go but it's not a live app and you do need to subscribe to HBO through your provider to use it. I use it on my tablet and like it.

Showtime has an app but time warner is not on the list so I can't use it but again you need to be subscribed to that through your provider to use the app. True TV has an app but again time warner is not on the list for me but that is one of the channels I can watch live on the laptop but verizon is on the list for all of those apps. They are not live TV though but they have a good variety of stuff that aired on those channels you can watch. Mary

It seems everyone is on the bandwagon to 'get more money', even though the ads pay for tv...
Sorry-but I am disgusted....
(It is like our landfill where I live in Wyoming-it is paid for by our vehicle license plates-40% of our large yearly tags (mine was $450 for one vehicle this year), go for operating our landfill. Now they decided that we have to pay each time we bring trash out to the landfill-$4 per average size kitchen trash bag!!).

The enterprises that make content available to you are in business to make money. Do you think you're entitled to it for free? If you think it's a ripoff, buy the offending company's stock so that you can profit from being an an exploiter instead of suffering as someone who's exploited.

As far as public services are concerned, there are three choices:

1) Pay a tax to cover the costs
2) Pay a fee to cover the costs
3) Do without the service.

Take your choice. Or, is this another thing that you think "someone else" should pay for so that you can have it for free?

I love the digital world myself. I don't mind paying for netflix and really like watching it on my tablet in bed. I am a big TV watcher though, always have been. I think it has to do with growing up in a house with only one TV and no cable. My father always liked to watch PBS and the news. I didn't get my own TV until my late teens. Mary
