I have 3 CDs with photos from the drugstore, one is a kodak
and I can view the pictures, the other 2 are a different developer(Eckerds)and I cannot get them to come up on the screen. What am I doing wrong? They wont come up on the DVD player either.

RE: photos on a CD

I know nothing as to Eckerds and the format it produces. For additional information I suggest you place the disk in its drive then START>Computer and locate the disk drive. Double click on the drive and the files should appear. Right click on any file then select Properties. On the General tab what type of file is reported?

RE: photos on a CD

We don't which version of Windows you are using.
We don't know if you installed an image viewer that came with either of these CDs.
We don't know if you are using a program supplied with Windows to view the images, or something else.
We don't know how old these discs are. If they're old enough, maybe they're no longer compatible with the version of Windows you have.

Given all of this, my first suggestion would be to download and install a separate image viewer and learn to use it. There are several available and many are free. A simple Google search will find them. The one I use is this:

Here is a link that might be useful: Irfanview

RE: photos on a CD

Many of the places that do photo cd's have special software you have to install to view them. I refuse to put random unnecessary software on my pc so I do not use any that do that.
