Nothing would open

This morning anything I tried to go to wouldn't open. My folders, shortcuts anything on my desktop, I couldn't go anywhere. I shut down several times and nothing helped. Finally the last time I shut down things opened again. Any idea of what might be wrong?

I have more questions than answers but maybe it can help narrow the problem.

What browser do you use? If IE, please state version.

Have you changed your mouse or any of its properties? Open mouse properties and double click on the folder to ensure it opens.

Did you make any other hardware or software changes before this happened?

Have you run a virus scan? What shield and/or scanner do you use?

I use firefox mostly, even IE wouldn't work. No changes have been made. I use AVG and just defraged & scanned. No changes at all I that I can think of. Its working today.

Very nice! Do you have any issues with weeds popping up through the wood mulch? I don't see any. It looks like you've nearly done away with your back lawn completely. I will be showing these photos to my DH. We are talking about a new house and he wants a small lot to reduce mowing, while I want a larger lot to allow for a big garden and a few fruit trees. I also use Doug Fir for my beds and don't have any rot issues, but then it's quite arid here. I think the East Coast humidity is probably a big contributor to the rot problem.

This is something that requires patience. If it is cold, this can delay the opening of the buds. If the buds have not turned yellow and shriveled a bit, then you can expect them to go ahead and bloom. When the days turn nice and warm, they'll open right up. Some asiatics do not open until June, so patience is the key. Lainey

Neither I nor anyone else suggested that, Glenda. In fact, I was careful to say I didn't want to criticize. With that in mind, Suzieque's post was well said. I don't recall seeing the "Pet Peeves" thread, but I'll hazard a guess that some of the things that annoy some people are not a source of annoyance to others. And, as Suzieque said, most annoyances are not big things. But of course that doesn't stop them from being annoying . . . to some. I guarantee that those of us who do find those teaser subject lines annoying (just annoying, mind you--we're not tearing out our hair or spiking our blood pressure or making demands) have plenty of small stuff that we don't sweat. And I'm pretty certain that those who claim to have learned not to react to little things have something (some small thing) they find irritating as hell.

Lazygardens - DH is now rolling his eyes because, in true gemini fashion, I've gone back and forth on this whole issue a million times. We had pretty much decided to do a white railing, then I read bronwynsmom's color lesson about white breaking up the view. I guess that I just need to decide which is more important, the view from the deck or the feeling of the deck being a little private room off the house/patio. I am OK with the look of a white railing when I am entering the garden from the path (off the driveway.) That said, the natural colors of a wood-tone railing would tie in the natural elements, not to mention the trim on the barn (which is what we see when sitting at the deck cafe table.) I guess the question is what do I think is more important - looking out or looking in. Thanks again for your input.

Try clicking the Microsoft button in the lower left corner of the keyboard then use the up arrow key to highlight any program. Hit Enter to see if it runs. If so John might be on the right track with the mouse.

We are assuming the computer loads Windows normally and completely?
