owbist, Yes, I was trying out Notepad and some of the other notepad-type programs. But I gotta tell ya, I really like the auto-correct feature of Office 2007 programs. I tried installing "autohotkey" with autocorrect (which would work with Notepad, et. al.), but that was a headache and a half and I still haven't gotten it to work correctly. (Plus, its autocorrect list is nowhere near what Office's is.) So, I thought, why bother with smaller notepad-ish programs when I've got Word sitting right here ? (Oh, FWIW, I did find that a lot of others have complained about this formatting issue, but all offered 'fixes' didn't solve the issue -- or if they did, Word did not remember across sessions. But I did discover that if I single-space everything -- instead of creating double-spacing between paragraphs and headings and such -- the document will paste correctly into a webmail. So I may end up experimenting with it that way.) :-/

I have word 2010 there are 2 or 3 ways to paste. The first one just pastes, the third pastes without the formatting so you can edit it and not sure what the second is. Check and see if your word has that feature. This post was edited by EmmaR on Sun, Jun 23, 13 at 13:10

If you get thoroughly fed up, try this. Various editions of Word have a problem with carriage returns, so to speak, and both Outlook and webmail. Open your document, hit ctrl-H, and replace paragraph marks (^p) with line returns (^l). Now send it to yourself and see if it fixes the formatting. This is not an OS problem, it's Word's. I do agree, however, that a resume is a document in itself and should be sent as a formatted attachment.

The printer is an HP....it prints everything else well. Yes, rebooted The print preview has the line not showing either... I have helped her print this same calendar in the past with the same printer. She now has a different computer (Windows 7) and a newer Word Program. But...I came home and tried it on my Windows 7 computer and it printed just fine. At first the print preview showed everything just right and it wouldn't print right...now the print preview shows that line missing. I'm at a loss here
