Need help... FAST! Adminstrator Right Issues

Posted by Luv.My.Kidz (My Page) on

The past couple days I must have done something without knowing but somehow my computer doesn't acknowledge that I have adminstrator rights on several programs (Outlook, Firefox, etc)

I can't afford to restore and I already tried to go back a few days hoping that doing a restore point would help but it hasn't. I can't do anything on this damn thing. I have this ugly firefox that won't let me search, outlook won't open without giving me this error:

"Cannot open your default e-mail folders. File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file c:\Documents and Settings\HP_Adminstrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.

HELP! I work from home and I need my programs to work right otherwise I'm screwed.

Windows XP
Microsoft Office 2007
HP Media Center Edition 2005

I don't know if you ladies need anything else! Please help!

have you checked to see if your UAC settings have been changed? control panel user accounts check there to see if your admin account settings have changed.

I assume you have rebooted a few times to see if that would help?
Do you also get this message when trying to use IE?

I would check to make sure you do not have read only set on your files
