If you have an iPad, you can also just click on the choose file button above this box, choose existing, and it will let you add any picture you have saved. Not sure what your original question was and probably shouldn't butt in this way, but this is so easy for me that I don't use any other method anymore! You do need to be sure you are holding your iPad with the ' screen on' button on the front to the right (not the on/off one) . Does that make sense? That way, the camera button is on your right immediately next to that little button that lets you go back to the 'desktop' screen. Sigh. Can you tell I am a techno idiot? Anyway, if you don't do it that way, your pics will post upside down.

bpgreen - I do indeed have an EVDO card. I tried to add a local free ISP via that card and couldn't make it work. So, in the end, you're probably right - work will have to pay for my access while at Mom's house. But I will be doing work email, so we both win - they pay for my internet access to monitor what's happening at work while I'm not at my desk. eeagle - Mom's house isn't as wired as the local Marriott ;) Maybe Mom will like/tolerate Starbucks ;) Thanks everyone! Hi - on an iMac here - I just click & drag a photo to my desktop - either from the web or iPhoto or any other folder on my computer, then click the photo link in the comments box & browse the desktop, select the file & click 'open' - & done. (just remember that photo will be inserted where the cursor was last - you can remove a misplaced photo by clicking @ the right side of it & using the delete button on your keyboard) When I'm finished, I put the desktop image in the trash or return it to its folder. BTW, you cannot click/drag photos from the messages here @ houzz( & on some other sites as well) - I use screen capture if I want to save & reuse any of them. If you want the steps for that, just ask... HTH

Yes, there is Mac malware, but the great majority of it works by fooling you into installing it. Never click a link in an email, unless it's something you started, like if you requested a password reset. Otherwise, if you get an email that seems to come from, say, your bank, go to their site and use the contact options there instead of the link in the email. Yes, flash is bad news. It's no longer included in the OS, and in these days when most people get to the web via their phones (no flash there), it's not so necessary, either, although there are apps which require it, like Adobe products. But if you have flash, you will always get the flash version instead of the html5 version of videos, etc Flash is baked into chrome. If you use chrome, you are going to have flash as part of it, in addition to everything you do in your browser being sent to google.
