should i still avoid microsoft .net framework updates

Again - updating daughter's laptop and ran Secunia. It shoulds 4 .net Framework updates (2.x, 2.x 64 bit, 3.x). A while back I read that these .net framework updates were causing problems and not to install them. Is that still true?

Should I install these updates - or continue to avoid .net framework updates.

I do not do them, I have not had any programs that required me to update the .NET framework, if at some point you do use a program that needs it the program will let you know and give you the info for which one it needs. Many of them can cause problems. If you review the patch list chart Susan Bradley puts out you can see what she recommends.

Thanks, Raven. Good to know. I'm bookmarking those problem-patch charts.
