new ebook reader available soon does much more

new Android-based e-reader

it is color, has wifi compatibility so you can surf and do email etc, and is priced at under $200. It is being backed by Barnes and Noble so will have full access to their libraries.

I love that it runs on a linux OS. this one looks very promising.

Pandigital Novel

Built-in storage is a measly 1GB, but there's a SD/MMC slot that will accept cards of up to 32GB. The whole shebang weighs one pound (0.45kg), and Pandigital claims that battery life is up to six hours when reading.

this is very interesting!

it can take advantage of Barnes & Noble's LendMe technology, which lets people borrow e-books from each other for up to 14 days.
