NAV 2011 too much for netbook

I have an HP Netbook 1000 and installed NAV 2011 but it slowed my computer down to the point it was useless.

Can someone recommend a basic AV that won't slow my computer down? Thanks!

Michelle Microsoft Security Essentials might be a good choice for you. It is a combined ant virus and anti malware, free and fully automatic.

Here is a link that might be useful: Security Essentials

Michelle, how much RAM memory do you have in your netbook...just wondering, because XP and with all the programs etc that one downloads, needs at least 1GB to run decently...Sure XP will work with less, with barebones installed..and will work slowly with too many
