Looking great -- again :). And I was very interested to (finally) read your account of the garden "dynamics" (somehow missed it when you first posted it.) Some brainstorming (which may have nothing to do with reality, but here goes): You said you save your own seed (and that you're relatively new at this) so just wanted to mention -- you didn't save squash seed that was just left out in the open to be pollinated, did you? Just a thought (they always hybridize and usually turn out crummy -- best to use store bought seed). Really like your idea about a kid's section -- yet I'll add that I've been able to garden with my grand kids, ages 2 and 3, just with plenty of guidance. They're great at planting large seeds like peas, or root crops like onion sets, gently placing starts into holes, watering. And about the fact that folks don't pick and eat the food -- would a simple sign that says something along the lines of "Like what you see? Wish you could have some? Come work with us Saturday at 9, and take home the bounty!" And/or a sheet with a recipe on it -- used to do that for a CSA. Thanks for the update and pics! Ours is 4x7 with no door. The seat takes up 1' of that space. We lost the battle with the builder on the curbless entry. We very rarely have splash out issues even at the pony wall. A wheel chair can be pushed in for showering and then backed out. A handheld shower is a must for someone in a wheel chair or needing to sit on a bench/stool. My parents have an ADA compliant shower sized 5x6 with curbless entry and 4' wide doorway without a door. Splash out is not an issue for them either. Many people ask if its drafty or cold without a door and the answer is no. Basically when you have a curtain or door in place it blocks the flow of the hotter air caused by the hot water and keeps it in the enclosed space. When you then open the curtain/door you get cold because the air outside the enclosure is colder than the hot air inside the enclosure. When you don't have a door at all the entire room heats up vs just the showering enclosure, so there is no rapid temperature change experienced by your skin giving you that drafty/cold feeling. This is an update to the sp1 info. Susan Bradley in the latest windows secrets newsletter said there are 2 new updates to do to prepare for sp1 if you have not done it yet, this is to help prevent some of those issues that were listed above. from her article Quote: "Microsoft released two patches to fix problems with Windows 7's infamous first service pack. Both should be installed before updating to Win7 SP1. KB 2533552 corrects a flaw that produces a failed SP1 update, leaving users with a cryptic error code (shown in Figure 1) and a difficult recovery. Systems that received SP1 through Windows Software Update Services were hit particularly hard, as noted in a TechNet blog. KB 2534366 fixes an issue with multiple language packs; some systems would hang at a black screen after SP1 was installed. If you haven't already successfully installed Windows 7 SP1, install both KB 2534366 and KB 2533552 first. And if Win7 SP1 is already installed, accept KB 2533552 for future service packs. Yes, it's true; I'm finally ready to give the all-clear for Windows 7 SP1 but only after you've accepted KB 2533552 and KB 2534366, as noted above. Rather than using Windows Update, I urge you to download and install the SP1 update manually to make sure it's successfully added." and the latest list of her recommendations for windows patches list Regularly updated problem-patch chart and the link to sp1 direct download SP1 she mentions to allocate about an hour for this.

This is your new Windows 8 computer right Dar? You should always include that, it makes life easier. Hover in lower right corner then click the Settings icon in the flyout. click Control Panel click User Accounts at the top click Make changes to my PC You will see near the bottom on the right side where to change to stop the 'Locked' icon from showing. While you are there you might click on the choices on the left side to see if there is anything else you might change to make life easier. To get out of that screen go to the top left corner and click on the small icon that appears, this is the last page you were on before the PC Settings screen filled the screen.
