Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7601

Hello everyone!

I have a question about my work pc, on the desktop in the corner on the right hand bottom there is the following text on the screen:
Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7601

I have never worried about it because nobody else seems to care :-) but now I'm curious. Yesterday this computer guy came into our office to fix my colleagues computer (she had a trojan virus) and when he saw the above named text on our computer screens he commented that was a bad thing. I asked him what he meant by that but all he said was that it looks like we're running something really old and that it allows bad things to run on our computers. Then he told me not to worry about it and took off! I didn't chase him down the hallway because I figured it is better coming here for clarification. So does anyone know what this means?

My pc is pretty new and I run Windows 7 Professional. I have the disk here with the licence code and I was there when the computer guy (different guy) installed it so that all seemed legitimate.

I just had a look at the link and I think I know how we ended up with it on our pc's.

Thank you very much for your quick response!
