Oh, congrats!!! We got flat screens here at work earlier this year. I love them. When I first moved out one of my roomates spilled something sticky into my keyboard. It still worked, but you had to slam each key down to make it work. lol I lived that way for over a year. Finally, when I moved in with Keith, he took it all apart and cleaned it and it lasted for almost 3 more years. lol

I got it fixed today.. This monitor will take some time to get used to..it is much sharper but different. Before when I received pix of my G-grandchilden(twins) They were SO dark I had to print them sometimes to even see them. They were OK when I printed them.. now they jump right out at me :) Some things are still a little lite but thing it is a dark as it goes.. Dar

That one does have the built in speakers, mine does not but I use stand alone speakers anyway. In the 19" monitors yes you can still find the non widescreen models but I have not seen any in the larger size monitors which are non widescreen. If you have not set up and used a buy.com account before there are some codes available that will save you some money on that purchase for first time buyer. I use buy.com quite often. first time Buy.com customers only don't worry about expiration dates they are always available just google buy.com promo codes and you can find them.

I have to assume that your new monitor is a wide screen, since it seems stretched horizontally. Somewhere in the documentation for the monitor, there should be a recommended setting for it, something like 1440 X 900. Most any other setting will not look right. You need to left click on the desktop, then properties, then settings and see what the screen area is set for. You should set it for the recommended setting for your new monitor and it should look fine. Your video card has to support that resolution. Good Luck Smitty
