Raven, I read about Spicebird on Kim Komando's site and downloaded the setup file to a flash drive using my desktop computer. When I went to install on the Windows 7 machine, it would not install, indicating I had a corrupt download. So I just downloaded Thunderbird directly and used it a good part of today. I haven't quite figured out everything about it, but it is working for me and all three of my web mail programs are working with it. I guess I'll look for a good tutorial and make sure I have everything set up correctly. I think there are some add ons available, too. It certainly beats Windows Live Mail.

Have you made any progress?

I just updated Thunderbird to 15.0 cause I didn't have a send button.. I know I had one.. well I still don't with 15.0 & my pictures are still broken. My son wants me to get opera mail (he uses Firefox browser) but I didn't want it.. maybe now I do. I rebooted too as that usually helps solve a lot of problems. Am I missing it or is there a way to get it. I checked options & don't see anything. BTW I sent my letter using the send under file. Dar

I think that's one of those programs that people either love or hate. Not much in between. Here's a thread from an email forum on the subject. The site's email guru has a bit about his negative experience with the program (mainly its company's 'shady' practices). Take it FWIW. :-)
