Internet Exporer not responding?

I do get this message occasionally, but when I go to Ancestry.com it happens a lot. Yes I do have the paid version of Ancestry---and am trying to do research and have just updated the tree from my cousin regarding the Ormsby side which is very complete. I have gone on the site before, but never have I run into this problem. Could it be that I am not using Internet Explore as my prime program? Right now I am using Firefox (hope the spelling is right?
Any ideas ?
