Error message

Hi again - hoping you can help as always. Got a new HP laptop with Kaspersky virus control only 2 months ago. Has Win 7. I tried to do a System restore the other day and kept getting the error code 0x8007003. Also will not restore in safe mode. I can not find out how to fix this short of reinstalling Win 7 which I really dont want to do if possible. The only things I have put on it are some old docs from my Dell with Vista, some pics and some itunes music. And of course Microsoft updates. I have read it is common on Vista run machines but I have no virus or spyware. Everything on pc is working fine except that I feel this AMD processor is slower than Intel. Can you please advise. Thanks so much.

have you run an updated malwarebytes scan if not please do that first because that is a known issue caused by certain malware. Then we can know for sure and rule that out.

I'm wondering why you needed a system restore to begin with.

You maybe able to use system restore from starting to the black window boot option window that you get when you start the computer while tapping the f8 key. Think its the top item.. Repair my computer usually... the next screen with shouw you more options.. one is system restore.

Hey Roc, I'm still using Miele Tabs--figured "if it aint broke, why fix it...?" I cut mine in half using Wusthoff kitchen shears--they slice through the tabs (and their wrappers) like the proverbial butter. LOL I cut a handful or so at once, and store the cut halves in a small deli container. If I'm running a particularly full/dirty load, I'll sometimes use two halves, or use one "large" half and add some of the powder that has collected at the bottom of the container to the dispenser. The last time I ordered the tabs, I got a great online deal on them, so got 2 or 3 pkgs. They last a long time since I cut the tabs in half and run the DW 4-5 days/wk on avg.

If you add cover panels, the message is still there. However, if you add the piece called "filler base" between the cabinets and the range on either side, the error message will go away. The "filler pieces and panels" options are in the cabinet menu, below countertops. The error message appears when there are no upper cabinets in the plan at all, so it is not related to uppers. The clerk should not dismiss this question, I would want a good clear answer on something that is defined as a safety feature.

ClientCore.exe seems to be part of HP SimplePass (a fingerprint reader). Does that sound right? If so does it work? Do you use it? Did you remove Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable while in Programs? Those two DLL files seem to be provided by it so reinstalling Visual C++ would likely give you the DLLs back.

Click Start, click Control panel, click Find and Fix problems under the System and Security header then select which ever option you feel best offers a fix to your problem.

If it's only 2 months old you might consider taking it back, system restore needs to be working.

I was using Spy Bot but will download from that link immediately. I so hope that is it. I am embarrassed to say that I was trying to restore because I could not rename some files no matter what I did (with the date in numericals). After trying for 2 days I said I would just restore to when I knew it was working. Thats how I found out the error thing. THEN I realized that the number lock was on ( has no light). Now you understand why I need help so often !!! Can not be returned but they will repair if needed. Just would prefer not to have to go that route if possible. Thank you again..

I had the same problem with my W 7 computer when it was new. The HP tech came on my PC and started a recovery for me. I don't remember how it was done, but it fixed the problem. Your warranty is still good you might try that. I use system restore quite often and I would hate to be without it.

I ran Malarebytes & it found 1 item and removed it. I then tried a system restore again and this time it said couldnt complete because of error code 0x8007005. It originally said 03 at the end. It will not work in safe mode either as I tried that before I contacted you. Any other ideas ? My only other recourse is to bring it to Best Buy & I know they will do a complete reinstall which I was trying to desperately to avoid.

I just searched for factory restore on a hp notebook.. it was press f11 when starting the computer at the hp splash screen. Hopefully it offers you a repair install so you dont lose all your data & programs youve installed.

That error number pops up on the web as virus program protecting something. You might try disabling your kaperski from start up & services... if you cant find a kapersky setting that is probably locking the registry & files.

I just did a search on that error msg and I found that spybot might be the problem:>

Spyware Doctor may well be the issue. That error means "access denied."

If SPyware Doctor has real time monitoring and protection, you need to remove it, as it is likely blocking MSE from updating.

Just do a goggle search on that error # ...good luck

If you do have spyware doctor I would try removing it from the pc to see if that eliminates your problems.
You mentioned you have Kaspersky do you have more than one antivirus program?

Sorry - grandchildrens birthdays all week. I do not have Spy Doctor - just SpyBot. Thank you so much. When I google for a fix it said it was caused by missing file or incomplete microsoft updates. There are tons of them so I cant delete them all. I am going to try Mikies suggestions next. Everything else is working fine though.

Just wanted to thank all who helped me. I ended up doing a factory reinstall after nothing else worked. I can't run a system restore yet until enough time passes so I am in the new install as a restore point. I just hope that worked. Again thank you to all for trying. Debbie
