I use the bookmark tool bar that is part of firefox. At the top you have the 3 bars above where your tabs are, the one with file, view etc, then you have the middle one and then the bottom one that bottom one is the bookmarks toolbar and you can create a folder there on that bar and store your daily used bookmarks in there, I have mine set up with several folders like forums, mail, music etc and in each folder I have my associated sites, if you just have a few sites you want to use then you can do that with out making folders, When you are at a site you want to use, use your cursor on the address bar and grab the little icon of that web address that is at the right end and drag it onto the bookmarks toolbar, then it will become a link you can click on. to create the folders on that bar just right click on the bookmarks toolbar and choose new folder, then you can change the name to what ever you want. To put a site into that folder go to the website then right click on that folder and choose add bookmark here. If you put individual sites on your bar and want to change the name or shorten it just right click on it and choose properties and there you can change that. Here you can see how mine looks click on that a couple times to get full size. Now I only have 2 bars then my tabs I did away with my middle bar so, and moved some of the stuff that used to be on the middle bar up to my top bar, so I have that and then below that I have the bookmarks bar with my folders and fave sites there. see if that would help you out

I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? Any special instructions for doing 2 firefoxes? Thank you. Lynn. PS - still wonder if anyone else if having the issue where responses don't get emailed to them. It sounds like your "Add-Ons" dialog box launched on the 'Get Add-Ons' tab. Did you check Extensions or Plug-Ins? That should also be listed on the Sidebar.

I am running an old version and need to for business reasons but pretty much ANY browser will allow you to add and remove options from the toolbar. I don't know why the latest version would be any different. It would be on the View menu-- and likely a feature called custom or customize. In my MUCH older version, the custom option opens a window that allows you to click and drag icons (including "bookmarks" onto your toolbar. My apologies if this no longer applies in the new version-- but I'd be very surprised if it isnt a feature that's available on the View menu.
