If you don't have it in the pc then the usb dongle would be an easier way to go. Here is a link to a search on newegg for usb wireless N there you can see various options, of course there are some other things that turn up in the search but focus on the usb wireless dongles, you definitely want usb 2.0 and you want to make sure it does all types of security including WPA2 so you can set up your system securely. As you will see some have antennas some just look like a usb thumb drive. If you wish to find out exactly what is in your pc I would go get the free tool belarc and let it scan your pc it will tell you everything. I have several usb 2.0 hubs and none are powered I have never found a need for a powered one. I have a powered one in my desk drawer never opened. I just run a USB cable from my tower to my desk top and plug my hub into that so the hub sits right on my desktop, I have one for each of my computers on the desktop plus I have a usb hub plugged into my KVM switch. Having it on the desktop lets it lay down so it stays plugged fine and is easy to plug anything into it. If you have a big lots store near you they have some very nice USB 2.0 hubs for $6 I bought several of them all work great. You definitely want 2.0 it is much faster than 1. I am surprised they still try to sell those old 1.0 hubs, they must have got stuck with them.

Besides the above which is entirely possible,there are potentially numerous locations where the volume can be controlled and each has to be checked; the keyboard, the Notification Area icon, the Control Panel, any mixer installed,and audio support software to name a few. You have to check them all. Plus, it wouldn't be the first time the system was accidently muted so check those settings too. I just did a house call last weekend for "no volume" in one speaker. Looked all over and finally found the slide bar in a freshly installed WinAmp adjusted all the way to one side. Of course, no one knew how it got this way. DA

A new memory card to be used in a camera should always be formatted in the camera before its first use. However, unlike IowaGirl's standard practice, you shouldn't reformat it every time you reinsert the card into the same camera. You will only shorten its life that way. A card, generally speaking, can only be reformatted a certain number of times. The better quality card can be reformatted more times than a lesser quality card, but, nonetheless, it will reach the end of its "formattable life" sooner or later -- sooner if you reformat a lot. And there's really no reason to reformat it unless it's acting up. Many memory cards intended for use in cameras come with free image recovery software. When you delete a picture (or a data file), it is still recoverable as long as it hasn't become corrupted. When you delete something, it's not really removed from the card/disk/hard drive. All that happens is that a command is given that the area of the media that was used to store that image/file is now available to be used for something else to be saved. And there is more sophisticated software available that can recover images/data files even after something new has been saved over it -- that's what happens, for example, when forensic teams work with hard drives when crimes are committed.
