writing anything

When I write an e-mail or do anything else on my Windows 7, the writing that I have been doing is not where I am writing, but has jumped someplace else on the document. Has anyone else got that problem with Windows 7. Any suggestions about what I can do t.o correct this problem?

Desktop computer with a regular keyboard and mouse: No.

Laptop or Netbook with a touchpad: Yeah, all the time. It's incredibly easy to brush that touchpad and not even realize it.

In my case, disabling the touchpad and using a USB mouse was the answer.

Does that apply to you?

RE: writing anything

I have been using a mouse all the time. It does not matter if I use the keyboard or mouse. It skips around. Really have to watch when I write. Anyhow, thank you for answering me.

RE: writing anything

I'm not clear as to whether you're using a desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse, or a laptop with a mouse attached but...

if it's the latter and you want to disable it, this video might help.

RE: writing anything

Thank you very much. I certainly will give it a try.
