How can I and where is the items I delete from Outlook Express. They are not in the recycle bin. Do I have a deleted item file? I do not have that problem with web mail. I have XP .
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Most email clients have a deleted or trash folder. Have you checked there?

In Outlook Express, all deleted messages go to the "Deleted" folder. I have mine set to delete those on closing the program. Maybe yours is set that way and that is why you cannot find them.

That is what I am looking for--the deleted folder or trash holder. I have looked ( I think) in everything in the top--file-edit-view-tool-message-help-- no trash holder, or deleted folder I don't remember creating one. So frustrating as I am looking for a message I deleted about a week ago.
Will go back and try again
Thanks
Marie

If you have already emptied/deleted them from the Deleted Items folder they are gone absent a successful use of an application such as RECUVA which will be iffy.

If you haven't and cannot find any Deleted Items folder, have you opened the Local Folder and/or any named dedicated folder by clicking on the + in front of it? This will reveal an account's tree.
