| I have the Kindle 3 and I don't understand what the screen means that appears if I connect my Kindle to the computer via cable. The screen says:
If you want to read or shop on your Kindle while continuing to charge over USB, please keep the USB cable attached, but eject your Kindle from your computer. I am at a total loss as to what this means. "My Computer" shows the content of the Kindle on the E drive--what should I do to eject? I do want to read while charging. Thanks,

| Wow!! Thank you Terry. I truly am a computerdyslexic, but I can eventually learn, after many false starts. Thank you for your patience. Nancy |

| Just an add on, you should be doing the same thing with any USB thumbdrives or any usb media storage...there should also be a little icon (has some green on it) down by the clock when you have a usb item plugged in. you can click on it and disable the usb unit plugged in...it should then tell you it is safe to remove |
