Stopzilla Rootkit Remover

My brother wants to know if Stopzilla Rootkit Remover works and is safe to use. If not, what is a good one?

I told had him about Malwarebytes, and I'm assuming he downloaded it, ran a scan and found a rootkit problem. I can't get in touch with him right now, but if you need more information, let me know, and I can try to contact him later.

He has a Dell Dimension with WinXP

Here's what you want, Best to go to Malware removal forum if your dealing with root kits. Rootkits hide other malware from Anti Virus scans.

RE: Stopzilla Rootkit Remover

malwarebytes has a built in rootkit remover if it found a rootkit it should have removed it, when rootkits are found I always recommend going to a security support forum and ask for assistance telling them what was found and asking them to help with logs and any special programs that need to be run to assure the pc is clean of the rootkit. He can go to LzD and ask for help or to the malwarebytes forum as zep suggested.
