| When I boot up a Security Essentials is turned off and box comes up saying that my copy of Windows isn't valid ( it most certainly is ! )... It provides a link for a validation test... If I click that it comes back saying it is a genuine registered copy and if I scroll down there's a link to download Security Essentials... Ok, if I just close the box and open Security Essentials I get a button to "Resolve now" and a link to run a Validation Test... When I run the validation test or click "Resolve now" Security Essentials is activated and every thing is fine until I re-boot then it starts all over again.. HELP!!! Rita |

| Just now start happening ? Did you try a restore point to before this started happening ? Think I might startup once in safe mode. Then if it still does it on the next regular start up I would download a new copy of Windows Security Essentials. Uninstall it ... reboot... open and close the browsers and explorer and maybe a few things, another words exercise it a little, before restarting computer and installing it again. Might as well wait a little while though... windows monthly updates come out today at about 10am Pacific time. |
