problem with

photobucket. For sometime now i've been having problems getting into photobucket especailly to share pictures.

I can open it,and get in,then when i try to get a photo to share on another forum it stops working and the message at the bottom is always the same

"Photobucket is NOT responding due to long running script"

What are they talking about and how do i fix it.It happend with the old pb,so i uploaded the new pb and it does the same thing.It's been doing this for quite a while now.PB hasn't been much help either.

I'm so frustrated i feel like throwing this computer thru the window.

Can someone please help me fix this??

Oh and i'm not new to GW,just to this computer site,i've been on the GW for about 12 years and hang out at the gardening sites,the kitchen table,sewing and quilting sites among others.

What browser and version do you use?

What Windows operating system?

This problem is usually browser related..

Thanks for responding,sorry i didn't get back to you last night,but dh was already asleep,and i wasn't sure if i had the right answers,then this am we had an appt.

The browser is internet explorer8
the windows is 7.Is that enough information,or do you need more.

You may have a fungal or bacterial problem which may be environmental-in soil or airborne. For general health, it helps if your brassicas are planted in an area that will get a lot of sun and the drainage should be good. They like a lot of organic matter in the soil so that it isn't too dense with clay.

Based on what you described: Do not apply anything unless you know what the problem is. (Btw, where does vegetable oil idea comes from? Just wondering - didn't come across that recommendation yet) Chilly windowpane is no problem - unless leaves/part of plant is touching the glass, and there is frost on it. Or really drafty... In z5, I have them on windowsill a do not worry about chill.. Cooler temps during nighttime are often quite suitable for many plants. Watering 1x/week is probably too often, and even more so if the potting soil doesn't drain fast. I can see some perlite, but can't tell what is the mix made off - do you know? How warm is it in the room they are kept? As for the white spots, are they web-like? If so, it may be mealy bugs. But I really can't see detail well enough to be sure. Does it look/feel papery-like? The larger cacti may have rot problem - I never had to do surgery on something similar, so hope someone else will post with good tips. As for light, they need as much as possible - many of us use lots of supplemental lighting during dark & short days of winter. It is a good idea to isolate new or diseased plants from the rest, usually until there is no sign of disease/bugs anymore.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, these ants look much too small to be carpenter ants. Moisture ants would make sense. The plywood in the photo is in the interior of the attic. The roofer applied plywood to the exterior of the house, under the roofing materials. I don't know about venting or what should have been done. I sued a roofer years ago in small claims court. I knew I wouldn't get any money because he was in jail, but I did it anyway and had the satisfaction of ruining his credit for 5 years. (There was more involved than a lousy roofing job.) The current roofer isn't in jail, but I suspect I wouldn't get any money from him either, simply because it's unlikely he has any. I thought I was doing a good deed by hiring him. As I said, I regret that decision. Although I dread shelling out for an exterminator, it wouldn't be a good idea for me to attempt the job myself Right now I'm seeking two reliable people: exterminator and roofer. Thanks again for your help.

Kathi, not Zep here, but if you are using Win 7, you should update your IE to a later version since IE8 does have some security concerns. I know there is a version 9, and now maybe even version 10 for operating systems later than XP.

Sorry I can't help with PB, but Zep or someone else will help with that, I'm sure.

Yes! I would install Internet Explorer 9, problem may go away with photo Bucket.

Photobucket is so flakey always. I know a craft forum I viist they are all having trouble with it and complaining more than ever lately so it may have nothing to do with your computer. I ditched it ages ago and now that webshots is gone I use image shack if I need to post photos on forums and so far so good but I really miss webshots. Mary

Thanks everyone,and HI Mary.I'm the penny4/kathi from 123 stitch,nice to see you here.

Dh cleaned up my computer this AM and installed windows 10,so far that appears to have solved the problem with photobucket.

Mary what craft forum do you go to,is it the one here at the GW??
