Avast blocking something with same message again and again

Posted by albert_135 (My Page) on

After five days my problem reported below on Feb 17 has returned.

Avast notice says 'malware blocked [something, it varies] [mal] and \\\globalroot\systemroot\svchast.exe'.

It seems to be happening anywhere that the little circular activity indicator begins rotating so sometimes it happens quite frequently as when searching for something or watching a video.

It is happening only on one computer and with sufficient frequency to be a distraction. On the computer I am using now I don't recall ever seeing this message. Any thoughts?
